Perhaps the houses should be given to folks who can commit to finishing the half built houses. Many an economist have said that the provision of free housing is unsustainable.

Surely this people can make means ends to secure some sort of funding to complete this houses. They are almost done, its not like they will start from scratch. South African people are lazy mannn-:)

It's high time the government build 5 to 10 storey flats to replace the RDP houses. Some good earning people get the RDP and build the double storey houses whereas some poor people need those houses. 5 to 10 storey flats will accommodate many families and will conserve space. Otherwise we gonna end up running out of space. Wake up ANC government.

On that note, we need a compulsory "Work for food and shelter" program.

The only good thing I can only think of is the Gautrain.

No proper background check is done because there are many people who live that are rich and are not supposed to be there. One more thing, I doubt if it is the only country that has free housing program. I stand corrected though.

2. Infrastructure improving drastically - Yes and No. We do have improvements yet the old roads and buildings are collapsing because there is no maintenance. Pot holes, government buildings not renovated, public toilets a stench.

When the project was announced there was sufficient money available to complete it fully. From the photos it is evident that the houses are all completed to just below roof level. Unfortunately the bribe money paid out to corrupt ANC officials took the money away destined for the roofs, doors and windows. Sorry poor south africans - actually, I am not too sorry. You are getting what you are voting for !!!

Yep, Southern Free State - part of the province ignored. I don't know how the people out there survive. There is no work, mostly paza shops run by Pakistans and Somali foreigners. One garage (filing station); one butchery; Pep store, one Bank in the so called white area or in town. Coloured people think they are superior to black people though there has been a history of inter-racial marriage between them. Afrikaans is the thee language there- first and second language to majority. Southern Free State or Xhariep is so dry and remote- sleeping area.

Its a wake-up call for the ANC and Free State Gvt. Free State corruption is shocking. People are fed up with the government and its unfulfilled promises. Job Creation and People skilling will at least minimise the level of poverty in SA by and large. The plattelands can be developed to become sizeable towns and existing big towns to average cities if jobs are created in these small areas.

The main challenge government has is to monitor and evaluate their projects.

At the same time we evrything cannot be stable perfect for people with population of 48 million people. Challenges will be there, thus far im proud of our government and many countries want to inherit our governing style.

Yes corruption is what im againts for and plead with you that it needs to be stopped immediately.

I FOR ONE STILL THINK ANC STILL THE BEST PARTY. We should also participate in our branches to explore more to politics, rather conclude everything you read on press hence some are just tibloids.

1. Education system is has not impoved in 18 years. As a matter of fact, Kids in Limpopa (all black by the way) still havent receved their text books for 6 months. And now the ANC are burning this books to hide it from us.
2. Large scalle corruption in all spehere in goverment. Evry day, there is reports of millions being stolen by politciall connected people, and they NEVER get prosecuted
3. Goevment intitions collapsing day by day.
4. ANC promotes racism versus national unity. All failures are now still blamed on whites, 18 years into the new SA.
5. Public health care is a joke. Only the Westen Cape has built any new hospital, and the current hospitals are badly run. People sit in long queses to be given a panado, because thats all the medicine they have
6. ANC would rather spend 60 billion rand = R60,000,000,000 on arms that we dont need and cant maintain, in exhange for a few million rand in bribes for their own pocket, than making sure black were uplifted.
7. ANC would rather spend more billions on a World Cup and massive staduims that we dont need, all the while why millions of SA are workless. The World Cup was a great expensive party that we all enjoyed, but it was not a good for for South -Africans
8. ANC are so diviede they cant lead the country. Are yhey run by communist, or Cosatu, or the ANC youth league or themseleves.
9. The only jobs the ANC worries about losing is the josb of ANC politicians
