IF zuma was a democrat, it should not have to boil down to bravery when ppl have to express most obvious and simple things which are taken for granted in a democratic environment, the president shouldn't have to be reminded to listen to the ppl if he was a proper leader, cause one of the MAIN skills for a leader is ability to LISTEN and from LISTEN then he makes INFORMED decisions. Zuma is just a disgrace how he was considered a leader in the first place and blacken our history boggles the mind.

You say he spent a night in Diepsloot, it seems to be trend cause zuma also took a ride and complained about public transport as if this public transport has been better any point in time, and did you know instead of sacking Sbu Ndebele minister of shambolic public transport he redeployed him? That against point failure on his judgement, therefore he shouldn't be a president, never-mind sitting down or anything else Tokyo charges him with, he has failed, he reshuffled his cabinet 3 times in 5yrs thus disrupting services in those clusters, he lacks good judgement so he simply shouldn't be a president, let us be brave and correct this mistake. We can talk about as many policy documents as possible. but as long as the top 6 NEC memebrs sit and swabble for access to the resources of the State it won't solve anything.
The economy need TO GROW at 7% per anumn to address the unemployment problems, but the ANC wants to control the existing economic structures in place and in some instances disposses minority groups who also happen to have South African passports and are citizens of the State.
The ANC needs to deregulate the economy, address land ownership issues in traditionally tribal areas and create a labour environment where Companies feel comfortable to employ people again. They should be eternally endeared to the 5 million people who make it possible, through their skills and hard work, for them to live the lavish lifestyles they do and to ensure that 13 million people are support through a grant structure which keeps them in power.

We do not want another Zuma. In terms of substance and leardership ability there is very little difference between Tokyo and Zuma. I urge people to pause and think about the future of this country. Let our judgement not be clouded by our desire to remove Zuma and settle for anything but Zuma. This is the mistake that haopen in Polokoane when the desire to remove Mbeki at all cost clouded people's judgement - and we ended up with Zuma. The anything but Zuma approach is a dangerous approach that must be fought at all cost. Most of South Africa's youth do not want either Jacob Zuma or Tokyo Sexwale as president of the country, according to a survey released on Monday.
Respondents who correctly identified Sexwale's profession were asked who they would prefer as president of South Africa, Zuma or Sexwale. Sixty four percent of respondents rejected both choices," insights company Pondering Panda said in a statement.
The survey was conducted among 4673 South Africans over the age of 18 and across all demographic groups last week.
It found that only 57 percent of the respondents knew that Sexwale, who is minister of human settlements, was a politician or a businessman.
"Eighteen percent thought he was a football player, 12 percent a comedian, and six percent said he was a judge."
When the respondents who could identify Zuma and Sexwale were asked who they would want as president, 19 percent of respondents said Zuma, who is currently South African president.
Seventeen percent opted for Sexwale -- who is reported to have presidential ambitions, although he has not confirmed this.

I just dont understand why its such a sin to have ambition. If Tokyo has the ambition to lead the organisation, why demonise his ambition. Ambition is what built Eiffel Tower , the now gone Twin Towers in New York, the Taj Mahal in India. To have ambition is have vision and maybe , just maybe, a plan to achieve the vision.
The problem with this country is being comfortable with mediocrity and getting rewards for not lifting a single finger. That is why this country's GDP will soon fall below that of countries like Nigeria. We have a priviledged mentality and not a go-getter attitude.

Is he just an opportunist who has wants to exploit the weakness of Zuma or is he a principled leader who will restore the ANC's standing. I think the former - why has he not criticised Zuma's relentless trampling of our democracy and reckless behaviour up to now. there shouldn't be this discussion in the first place, if zuma stuck by his original position, that he will only serve one term, understandably when he said that, ppl within his party made (succession) plans and planned their careers around this, so really there is nothing to discuss further zuma must just stand down, cause if its only his province backing him, that alone should compel him to stand down, but zuma is always going to be a black stain in our history, thanks anc for that.Report Abuse

I also think that zuma only wants to be a president so he can dangle his spear for our expense, I can't stop wondering how many wives he wld have married at the end of his his term/s if gets second term and what cost will that be to tax payers?

@bebesocs, I disagree that Tokyo deceived the country by being part of those who gave us an illiterate for president, everyone knew zuma's profile, but majority SAns have no listening skills or have short memory span and or blind following what 's put in front of them by their so called leaders, when we rid ourselves of fanaticism politics and engage our brains when choosing leaders we will avoid mistakes like zumalema which serves to tarnish our struggle for liberation credentials, we also need to have enough brain capacity to know that leaders are not always right, hence we always have to re-evaluate them.Report Abuse

@Nohandouts1 to be fair, Tokyo was a premier in GP under Madiba term, he was okay guy and no corruption was linked to him (personally) after that he fell off the radar and came back as minister of housing, well it will take more than 5yrs to get that dept in order and enable it to deliver services, so that can't be blamed on Tokyo alone,You say he spent a night in Diepsloot, it seems to be trend cause zuma also took a ride and complained about public transport as if this public transport has been better any point in time, and did you know instead of sacking Sbu Ndebele minister of shambolic public transport he redeployed him? That against point failure on his judgement, therefore he shouldn't be a president, never-mind sitting down or anything else Tokyo charges him with, he has failed, he reshuffled his cabinet 3 times in 5yrs thus disrupting services in those clusters, he lacks good judgement so he simply shouldn't be a president, let us be brave and correct this mistake. That's not to say I'd vote Tokyo for president, the guys has made enough money through tenderpreneuring, so he also must sit down.

Like an eagle it is high time for the ANC to choose life over death by going up the highest mountain and pull its long feathers that hinder it to fly, to beat its long grown beak on the rock in order to get a fresh new one and to beat the long nails on the rock in order to have a fresh new one to enable them to work and give a good service to people.

We have capable and tested leaders like Nkosazana Zuma, Cyril Ramaphosa, Lindiwe Sisulu, Kgalema Motlanthe, why settle for second best - like we did we Zuma. Most of South Africa's youth do not want either Jacob Zuma or Tokyo Sexwale as president of the country, according to a survey released on Monday.Respondents who correctly identified Sexwale's profession were asked who they would prefer as president of South Africa, Zuma or Sexwale.
