Malema and Shivambu say sorry to Zille
On orders from the court
Former ANCYL leader Julius Malema and suspended spokesman Floyd Shivambu apologised to Western Cape Premier Helen Zille in court papers.
Her spokesman Pierre-Charl du Preez said the two had submitted a written apology when they filed their court papers in the Western Cape High Court.
Judge Lee Bozalek on Thursday ordered Malema and Shivambu to apologise to Zille after they made defamatory comments about her.
The two, along with the youth league, were also ordered to retract the remarks they made in 2009, and pay Zille’s legal fees.
