An order for the extradition of George Luca, accused of murdering South African strip club owner Lolly Jackson, has been granted by a court in Cyprus, the National Prosecuting Authority said.
Spokesman Mthunzi Mhaga said that South Africa's right to extradite Luca had been confirmed by the court.
It was not yet known when Luca would be flown to South Africa to face charges of murder, theft, possession of suspected stolen property and fraud.
He was arrested by Cypriot police in March after evading arrest by the South African police.
Jackson, the owner of the Teazers franchise of strip clubs, was shot dead at a house in Edleen near the OR Tambo International Airport on May 3, 2010.
Luca, also known as Luca Smith, allegedly phoned Gauteng crime intelligence boss Joey Mabasa and confessed to killing Jackson shortly after the murder.
Luca previously told the Sunday Times that he did not believe he would be granted a fair trial.

If the Scorpions pull this off , it should set off a few matters globally , by precedent .1) von Kolbatchenko @Pallazolo will go home from Stellenbosch to face trial in Italy ,
2) Mugabe to the Hague for his Korean trained Red Brigades who murdered 22,000 harmless and unarmed men , women and children in the Matabeleland massacre in the 80's ;
3) Andre Lugovoy for the poisoning of KGB defector Alexandre Litvinenko to London , where Litvinenko was poisoned before he could spill the beans on Russian PM Vladimir Putins influence in global crime syndicates
4) Seychellois Resistance leader , Gerard Houreau murdered in London - his killers will be able to be identified and brought to trial in London where Gerard was murdered
The legacy of George Louka may just have a few positive outcomes !!!
