TOUGH TIMES: The cost of petrol will soon cripple the already cash-strapped consumer. PHOTO: Munyaradzi ChamalimbaSouth Africa's petrol price pump in the main inland commercial region of Gauteng will decrease by 55 cents, or 4,5%, a litre next Wednesday, the energy department said on Friday.
The new price of 95 grade petrol will be 11,67 rand a litre in the Gauteng region, from 12,22 in May, decreasing for the first time since March.
The wholesale diesel price decreases by 2,3% to 10,74 rand.

and why am I not excited?because everytime the fuel goes up, so does everything else. but when the price goes down, everything else still stays up. we are being screwed.
secondly every time the fuel price goes up by 80 cents, and goes down by 35 cents, then shoots up by 95 cents.

Well the crap thing is we all know that this is short lived.Look out for a 70cents increase the week after the drop.

This is a sh!t story told here, recently the petrol went up by 95 cents for 5 months, then we are promised down by 55 cents for 2 months,then up by 83 cents, this is k@kReport Abuse

im not impressed at all iinstead im depressed....mxm.sometimes i feel like taking a taxi and not driving to work cos this petrol thing is kiiling me....maare im scared of 4-4
