Biker injured 100 metres from hospital

A BIKER was seriously injured after his motorbike collided with a car next to the gate of Rob Ferreira Hospital in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, yesterday .
Witnesses said the car that came from the direction of the hospital gate had just joined the main road in front of the hospital when it collided with the bike that had been travelling along the main road.
The injured biker was immediately rushed into the hospital about 100m away where he was said to be in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the car escaped without injuries but the car was damaged.
Traffic cops were investigating the cause of the accident.
