THE owner of a Mozambican fruit juice company has been kidnapped, the latest in a string of abductions targeting Muslim businessmen, police said
Ibrahim Gani went missing on Saturday from his upmarket home in suburban Matola, said Maputo police spokesman Joao Machava.
This is the 15th kidnapping confirmed by authorities in the Maputo area since late 2011, with most of the victims coming from South Asian families.
In some cases families have paid ransoms of millions of rand.
