R35m road project exists only on paper

May 22, 2012 | Alfred Moselakgomo | 33 comments

Vehicles using the roads in these villages run up punishing maintenance and repair bills, and drivers of sedans use the road at their peril, in places having to drive at less than 40km/h

Domkopp

Now, the Limpopo provincial government under boMorena Mathale, awarded OnPoint Engineering( a company partially owned by Malema, who coincidentally happened to be a friend of Mathale) the R4.6b tender or responsibility to upgrade the Limpopo roads. OnPoint, partially oned by Malema, deposited millions of millions into Ratanang Trust, which coincidentally just happened to be owned by the Malema family.

Malema thought I am a DomKopp, but I am not such a DomKopp. Fix those roads bra!

The sad thing about these corrupt people is that they just chow our money and only get removed or moved to different posts or suspension. They don't go to jail, I doubt that their accounts are frozen, the money is not being recovered from them.

My country is going UP IN SMOKE

Limpopo Roads again I thought that On-Point Company was running the roads programme but then again people did not vote for On-Point. They voted for people who appoint unqualified and in experienced caders to run the public sector to the ground. Always wanting to eat!!! I bet if government can scrap the tenders only for a month there would be civil war in this country!!!!

This is all non sense. There was no tender awarded to any service provider. What happened was that the said amount of money was for a project design only and not the construction of a road. The budget for the construction of that road is in the budget for the next financial year. The report is inaccurate and not based on facts and we also jumped into dissing, insults and all sorts of things. Our journalists are stooping too low into making unfounded and statements based on non-facts and we follow like brainless bigots...There is no such. People have even went to an extend of insulting the ANC, Mathale, Julius, Zuma and everyone on a story which is inaccurate, factually incorrect and baseless. Where have you ever see a road been constructed with such a little amount of money ?

The only mistake committed by the municipality was to indicate that the roads have been constructed. But it still remains a fact that no service provider was appointed to construct the ras and that the money referref to here was for a designreport only and not the construction. The project has benn rolled over to the next financial year.

How can you easily mismanage R35m? It has now become a hobby for ANC to steal our money. So none of the authorities like the manager and mayor who have bothered to go and inspect the condition of the road even on the weekend.?

Most Black people in SA are simple and as we know simple people are always taken advantage of. The ANC love simple people- after all without simple people they wouldn`t have any votes.

That's ok. We have the money to waste !!

Look - our roads are nice, everybody has jobs, new factories are going up because it's easy for me to start a business without being taken to court by employees. Municipalities are well managed !
The ANC appoints such great leaders that they are frequently in court for corruption !

Corruption is rife (because crime pays in this country).

But most of all - let's congratulate ANC voters who seem to think that the country will survive under these circumstances !

I had always thought EC, NW and FS were the only provinces that had serious delibitating road infrastructure. This is not even anywhere close to a gravel road. Yho! terrible. Driving on that road could be quite a torture.
