Mpumalanga budget up 15%

MPUMALANGA MEC for finance Pinky Phosa on Friday announced that her department had been allocated R255, 340-million for the 2012-13 financial year.
Speaking in the legislature, Phosa said the budget represented a 15% increase from the allocation of the financial year ended March 31.
She said the budget included a special allocation of R8-million which would be used to improve the capacity of municipalities and to effectively implement the Public Finance Management Act and other related Treasury regulations.
