And if there was no free media, we would not know about this. Three years for killing 2 innocent people while a CT taxi driver is sent to jail for life. No consistency here.

How can anyone just refuse to go to jail? Go and pick the bugger up and lock him away. I ask you. I can just imagine if I were arrested for some or crime involving death, and I calmly told the arresting officer to go away, because I refuse to go to jail. It's just unheard of. At least make a pretense of justive! Jeez.

Morning Momma.

Hey there Robin
It all gets quite amusing after a while. The fake prince with his fake numberplates and his fake drivers only gets 3 years and still refuses to go to tronk. Makes the whole dual judicial system so very obvious

No - even he knows it does not work - for committing suicide or getting sympathy. We just have to make sure he gets admitted to a government hospital - that might do him in.

Please Sowetan why are you not reporting on Auditor General Terence Nombembe's latest remarks. "“Things are serious, and they are even more serious than we thought they are,” he said at the opening of Deloitte’s new building in Pretoria on Thursday" like the City Press is????

This is serious stuff. By not reporting on this are you saying that Sowetan is less serious about reporting than other newspapers and websites??

The things going on in this country are really beyond a joke!
I think the Auditor General got it wrong - the situation in SA is not just dire, it is beyond belief! We are in a total state of anarchy.
And where is our leadership in all of this? Jolling up a storm, and giving "feel good" speeches.

Sanral’s chair, Tembakazi Mnyaka, reportedly said that Alli would stay on in his post until the beginning of June. - IOL

Guys & Girls...

I think the way things are going in SA, you actually APPLY to go to jail.

If you are down & out, you stay on STATE expenditure, Good Food, dieticians, good enterrtainment, etc.

No wonder Zuma must give discount to get the occupants (not convicts) out of there... I wonder how many accepted J Zeee's offer ???.... OBVIOUSLY free STATE accommodation is MUCH in DEMAND these days....

Jacob knows, once his honey pot dries up, he can apply as well....

Pointman,

I think he is still waiting for his diabetes diagnosis... Diabetes - An acute affliction triggered by a guilty verdict and exarcebated by the minutest exposure to the wall paint in SA's prisons. Goji berries, a round of golf, sequestration to a prison infirmary and an occcasional spin in a BMW X6 seem to improve the prognosis...

This case further strengthens thecase for a fully free press. I would rather live with the mistakes the press commits by errorneous reporting than live with a regulated press. Our country is fast sliding into chaos. When we finally wake up, our hard earned freedom will be meaningless as it will be of no use to me or you.
The list of contoversies is endless,
Lt. Mdluli - Back at work facing damning allegations, Bheki Cele - suspended, Shabir - Allegedly terminally ill, Selebi - Jail hospital protected from doing real time, Adv. Simelane - not fit for office NDP, Limpopo - under administration, etc.
I have advised my son to be a lawyer ... the future in this country is in LAW. Criminal paradise.

After all has been said & done, did you guys consider, who is suppose to take this guy to jail. I suppose most will say the police but the police will tell you we arrested him & handed him over to the court, the court released him on bail while the trial was on-going, they also find him guilty, he appealed instead of locking him up, they released him while waiting for the sentence, finaly they have sentenced him & by law he has 48 hours before he reports to the nearest prison. that did n`t happen, remember the guy was not handed over to correctional services so who is suppose to notify the court so that a warrent for his arrest is issued for failing to report to the correctional services.
