Edward works and has always done so even before his dad became President! and when his dad was broke bcos of those cases he worked very hard to fundraise for him, he is an individual with an identity of his own and has been always active in the ANC. Zuma could not have dictacted how an old man like this should have his wedding and a man that has been independant for many years! u pple like to confuse issues at times and i suspect its deliberate! there are very few pple that marry with cash upfrnt that are able to pay for everything cash so obviously it would take them longer! i also suspect the company overcharged them after learning who they are. what the bride does is non of anyones business atlst she is working and not a housewife or criminal. how on earth would they have gotten hold of Tax money? they dont even get child support grant pple need to use their brains at times, im sure this was a prestigous wedding with esteemed guests can u imagine how much they had to pay for security alone? never mind the food, decor etc. ther is no proof they stole any money, nor is it mentioned anywher, its a couple inlove that got married and the guy wanted to give his bride her dream wedding finish!! Just how long do you think it will take you to save that, hmm? I sure as hell know it will take me forever - if ever - and I have a decent paid job that allows me to save each month.
For a young couple to spend that much on a wedding?

@MamameCOSATU members won't have time to protest frequently because they have jobs. Disrupting the lives of the ANC elite will only work if the unemployed do it. The best organization that is in a good position to do it is SANCO (South African National Civic Organization). Sadly, SANCO is nowhere to be seen. So it must be revived and then things will get better in South Africa.

That is our reward for lack of foresight and our (voters) inability to seperate between loyalty to a political party and what is right for our country (patriotism). I hope i have answered you.

Edward works and has always done so even before his dad became President! and when his dad was broke bcos of those cases he worked very hard to fundraise for him, he is an individual with an identity of his own and has been always active in the ANC. Zuma could not have dictacted how an old man like this should have his wedding and a man that has been independant for many years! u pple like to confuse issues at times and i suspect its deliberate! there are very few pple that marry with cash upfrnt that are able to pay for everything cash so obviously it would take them longer! i also suspect the company overcharged them after learning who they are. what the bride does is non of anyones business atlst she is working and not a housewife or criminal. how on earth would they have gotten hold of Tax money? they dont even get child support grant pple need to use their brains at times, im sure this was a prestigous wedding with esteemed guests can u imagine how much they had to pay for security alone? never mind the food, decor etc. ther is no proof they stole any money, nor is it mentioned anywher, its a couple inlove that got married and the guy wanted to give his bride her dream wedding finish!!Report Abuse

@Geeny"You suspect the company over-charged them because of who they are? how on earth would they have gotten hold of Tax money?"
Girl, are you for real???
Have you any idea just how much 2.5million is? That's 2,500,000!! And for just 500 guest, nogal!!!
Just how long do you think it will take you to save that, hmm? I sure as hell know it will take me forever - if ever - and I have a decent paid job that allows me to save each month.
For a young couple to spend that much on a wedding?
The bride is a train-driver. The groom is?
Is this not the same Zuma-daddy that had to ask for help with paying for his kids school fees not too long ago?
You need to get some perspective.

Who does charity work in the president's family anyway? At least someone could do some charity work just to pretend that they care.Report Abuse

These guys live like royalty but leave a trail of debts. Daddy was not doing any better either, before he became president. So many of daddy's cheques just bounced. It seems daddy thought that if you just signed a cheque the bank would forget to check if there were sufficient funds in the bank account. It is probably tempting when you have a fat cheque book but no money in the account. But at the end of the day these things are about ethics.Report Abuse
