President Jacob Zuma’s son is being sued for R1.5 million for allegedly failing to pay a Durban wedding co-ordinating company

President Jacob Zuma’s eldest son Edward Muziwoxolo Zuma married Phumelele Shange from Lamontville in Durban. Drum magazine reported that when Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' was played on huge speakers, it is the guests’ cue to stand for the bride. The 26-year-old Phumelele was 'scintillating in a François Vedemme creation as she glided down the aisle, arm-in-arm with her mother Girlie Shange'. Her groom, affectionaly known as Muzi, wore a black tux. The theme of the service was 'Be Transformed'. SOURCE: Drum magazine

Edward Zuma married Phumelele Shange in October last year.

Their reception for 500 guests was held at the Tala Game Reserve near Camperdown.

On Monday an application brought by Glenwood-based Functions for Africa CC against Zuma came before Durban High Court Judge Kevin Swain.

It was postponed to later in May as neither Zuma nor his lawyers arrived.

Zuma was ordered to pay the costs of the adjournment.

Functions for Africa member Paul Mann said Zuma had only paid R1 million of the R2.5 million owed.
