PMB gets SMS bills

PIETERMARITZBURG residents could soon receive their water, power and rates bills by SMS, a municipal spokesman said
The move was aimed at making the municipality more environmentally friendly and saving money, said Msunduzi municipal spokesman Brian Zuma.
He said the municipality hoped to have compiled a database of residents who received their bills by SMS by the end of the week.
Residents would not be forced to receive their bills by SMS.
