I must say Mr Zwane le wena maan!! you look like you would hide an illegal gun and your young wify's eyes remind me of my high school sweet heart who was attracted to gunss. So amaberete might have used exersive force but Sir "On a very good day I dont blame them" Sir

There is no smoke without a fire, someone saw your legal gun and thought you have no licence, so he/she told the police. Sue them, that is the only way to go.

This type of behaviour by the TRT Officers is completely out of line. Why did they torture innocent people even though the poor family had a licence for their gun?The Minister must step in to address this saga. They used and abused their authority, hence they could have made sure upon receiving the information.Poor analysis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I support the members of TRT when they are doing their job professionally, not when they traumatized people like this. Was it necessary for 40 members to go in one house when the rapes, robberies and etc were taking place else during that time.

I want them to Raid Nigerian flats in places like Sunnyside,Germiston and CBD. I can guarantee you that they will find kidnapped girls, drugs, illegal firearms and so on.But they are too much cowards, they will rather raid taverns and shebeens where majority of people will be having fun.

these guys can only understand 1 language, A LAWSUIT... the poor family need not have visible scars to proof that they suffered unwarranted pain at the hands of these idiots... they sue the minister and mention the individual officers as 2nd to 40th respondents if they know their names.. or just mention the ones whose names they know and just say "and others" on their pleadings.... thanks to recent legal developments now one can sue the minister together with individual officers.... these scumbags always attack innocent civilians instead of going after real criminals...

"A police state is one in which the government exercises rigid and repressive controls over the social, economic and political life of the population. A police state typically exhibits elements of totalitarianism and social control, and there is usually little or no distinction between the law and the exercise of political power by the executive.

The inhabitants of a police state experience restrictions on their mobility, and on their freedom to express or communicate political or other views, which are subject to police monitoring or enforcement. Political control may be exerted by means of a secret police force which operates outside the boundaries normally imposed by a constitutional state" wikipedia

??
Would this violence be more acceptable if it was directed at (only) w hites, I ndians and c oloureds?

Shouldn't we ALL be challenging the very existence of thugs in uniform for their behaviour, REGARDLESS of who they are intimidating?!

Our country is rapidly becoming a police state run by the corrupt and self serving on one side and bullies in uniform who are led by the mafia with 'permission' from the government on the other.

We should ALL be afraid, very afraid!

Unfortunately the pool from which employees are obtained is the very society which is deeply affected negatively. Many of the police recruits have already in one way or another been involved in criminal activities but never been caught therefore seemed of good character when recruited into SAPS. Sadly many join because of their sadistic desires to make people their play things because they think the police are above the law. In some cases that seems to be the case because very less people complain therefore in a way propelling bad behavior. They roll you on the ground, clap you or kick and let you go and you are happy they did not do worse than that and you just go your way. What kind of a society is this. We are indeed suffering fro post traumatic stress from being subjected to apartheid and black on black violence. We do not realize that from being freed the next step is to free ourselves. Talk about chicken mentality.

Ey i don't know but then maybe they should be schooled on the term tactical, the issue of an unlicensed firearm could have also been handled by constables. What the TRT should focus on is heavily armed criminal that deal with heists and the likes. a Tactical response team that beat up drunkards, unless if that is our crime fighting strategy in the country, really doe no good to combating crime this is disapointing from an elite police unit they are an embarassment.
