People must be held accountable for their diabolic acts and stop blaming mythical creatures( Demons and Gods), it's wrong for us to continue turning a blind eye in our communities in hopes that some mythical creature will instil good morals in our children. Parents, adults must teach good morals to the young once and if we fail then we must point the finger at ourselves as adults in our communities in failing to do so, lets stop hiding behind myths.

wena MEC come on now, we need far more than prayers to curb social ills. How about a compulsory psychological assessment for all learners twice a year or a full time social worker at all schools? it may not be the ultimate solution but it will go a long way in detecting wayward conduct.

Ok???? To you God is a myth, good for you!!! To me God is a reality and there is nothing you are putting on the table to convince me otherwise. The very methodology you are prescribing of raising children is what the bible has been saying for years (before you, myself and the parents of the child in question were evn born). Whilst i respect your atheism; it is important for you to respect those who subscribe to different religion than yours.
This article is not about God bashing, but an innocent child who was raped and suffered bodily harm from a 15 year old!!! It is clear that violent crimes is in the increase in our country and my view is that the ruling party has created a monster and now they are calling for prayers. I am in agreement that indeed we need them prayers; but in the same breadth I am pointing out to them what they have done wrong, namely (removing prayers from schools)!!!

@MGEEZ, Myths are Myths, the reality is our society is r0tten and it's us in the now who needs to address this, it's us humans who commit this acts,no God or Demons is forcing our hands to move against our will thus harming little children, it's us humans doing this and must take accountability for what we do in this life time, we must stop hiding behind God or any mythical creation and face the gruesome reality we have created and live in, prayer has always been there even during sl@very and @partheid it has always been there and had rendered men helpless as they wait to divine answers from above to answer and lift them from their sl@very, it's only when men acted against such gruesome acts that he became fre.e from his hard shifts. The ball is in our hands and we must act and stop waiting for divine intervention, it's us who must teach this boys good morals and proper behaviour in the community.

There are an awful lot of prayers in the churches but that doesn't stop priests and pastors from diddling little kiddies.

@MommaC- No friend thats not it did that happen to you when you were in school.As far as i can remeber no muslim ,12 apostolic ect had a problem saying the OUR FATHER together at Assembly. We all knew our religion an Muslims left early on a friday due to their believe.


You did not sere an uprising when most Christian Holidays were also removed which i stil hav a great prob with.

At school the kids who were not christian didn't attend the first half of assembly (prayers).

Praying didn't stop priests from diddling kiddies and it doesn't stop crooked pastors from fleecing the congregation so I don't see it making any difference anywhere else.

My Granny used to tell us that the gods help them what helps themselves. Pray if you want to but don't expect to have no responsibility to do something concrete.
