Police said the prisoners escaped from the holding cells after overpowering a officer, who was serving them with tea.

Five of the escapees were arrested after police launched a manhunt.

Police spokesman in Limpopo colonel, Mohale Ramatseba, identified those who were re-arrested as Karabo Matlala, 20, Jack Tau Tau, 30, Jack Mokgabudi, 30, Cindy Kgaretsi, 31 and Paris Sefoka, 18.

He said those still at large were Thabang Hlako, 22, for housebreaking, Mawethu Kgoloko, 25, for attempted rape, Kenneth Mokgonyetsi, 26, for possession of unlicensed firearm, Solly Sebowane, 26, for car hijacking, David Maupa, 25, for robbery, Patrick Phaswane, 29, for possession of unlicensed firearm, Cedrick Mampuru, 32 for theft, Daniel Mokgwatsane, 26 for rape and Samuel Tshimole, 30 for business robbery.

Those arrested are expected to appear before the Nebo Magistrate's Court today to face charges of escaping from custody.

Ramatseba said those with information about the escapees should contact Major Martin Seabi of Jane Furse at 082-319-9526.

Why re-arrest them, its no use because Zuma and his pathetic government will be releasing them from the 15th of this month....so that they can finish us off and rrape more women.If this practice of releasing some specific category prisoners was done since 20 years, it does not mean that we must continue with it. Times have changed.

It's a rule for Raf3 gang even if he has left with one hour to be released they must escape or else their get hash punishment for not keeping the rule of the gang. they call themself moya and they speak mix of Roman and sotho is they are language eg. sninty nna XVII C moya, they mean to escape.
