Juju in his own words
On Mbeki following Jacob Zuma's acquittal on rape charges: "We are in this trouble because of Thabo Mbeki and his people. This problem was started by Mbeki. Mbeki is a coward. He is dealing with his own comrades and they do not want us to tell you that."
On Whites at a local government election rally: "We must take the land without paying. They took ours without paying. Once we agree they stole our land, we can agree they are criminals and must be treated as such."
On IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi's age: "The ANC Youth League is a factory that has produced the best (leaders), but while we have produced the best like (Nelson) Mandela, there was also Buthelezi, who was a factory fault. He (Buthelezi) was assigned by the movement (the ANC) to start a cultural group that would mobilise our people but he saw an opportunity and turned it into a political organisation."
Speaking before the 2009 general elections: "We are tired of a two-thirds majority. Our aim is a 'three-thirds' majority."
On the ANCYL's many blunders: "We are in a political laboratory, never blame us if we make mistakes, we are learning."
Criticising ANC's apparent lack of consistency: "If there was any form of consistency, those who were attending meetings of the ANC under the influence of alcohol and some of those who were arrested for drinking and driving should have been subjected to disciplinary processes."
To British journalist Jonah Fisher at ANCYL media briefing at Luthuli House:
"Let me tell you, you are tjatjarag.
"This is a building of a revolutionary party and you know nothing about the revolution.
"So here you behave or else you jump. Don't laugh.
"Chief, can you get security to remove this thing here. If you are not going to behave, we are going to get security to take you out. This is not a newsroom this, this is a revolutionary house and you don't come here with that white tendency, not here.
"You can do it somewhere else, not here. If you have got a tendency of undermining blacks even where you work, you are in the wrong place. Here you are in the wrong place.
"You can go out ... rubbish is what you have covered in that trouser - that is rubbish. That which you have covered in your clothes is rubbish, OK?
"You are a small boy. You can't do anything. Go out ... bastard! Go out! You bloody agent."
