I am glad then that you know my type; but that still does not change the fact that there is a video with people who call themselves Christians raping a child. If we adopted your "who amongst us has no sin" then our justice system is not required at all.
Secondly; in terms of the laws of this circular world that we live in, anyone who was in that video whether they raped or not were as involved as those who raped, particularly when you consider that they were willing participants. They enjoyed what they saw and still did not report it to the police; so we are going to prosecute them to the full extent that the law allows us and i hope that we get it right so that we can make a good example of people like this in our society. You do not know me to talk about my type, but for that I forgive you, it a non issue it happens everyday.

We have a very small portion of the population which comment here but some of these comments seem to make the estimates of 9% of the men being rapists sound like an under estimate. Some of these boys have some serious issues with moral boundries

This man didn't just wake up and thought of being a man who'll keep gal against their will, he was this probably a long time and no one caught him. i know a lady who I would describe as mentally not ok or mature slow, I would not call he mad, I dont know this lady on this story but I would say she fits the description of the girl I know a bit, the lady would ask sEx from older men, hope this girl has never done this to this boys, them being ok, guess they would have never taken the offer serious if she indeed offered herself to them!

am not a rapist to answer your seseless question neh? these guys are minors so i said they may have done this without any knowledge that they were against the law, read all the articles about this victim and how many times she has been raped, she was finally found with a matured man who is old enough to have acted like her parent but instead slept with her and even said he is his girlfriend, SHAME!

I think her parents are also not responsible enough to take care of her especially that she is not mentally fit so they should also face the wrath of the law for negligence of their daughter!

What kind of monstrous brat doesn't know that raping a girl (any girl) is wrong? Do your children REALLY have to know that it is against the law before they realise that it is just WRONG?

Her mother has done nothing wrong in this. When she was raped last time, she did EVERYTHING to get justice for her daughter. The NPA threw the case out of court due to the fact that the girl is mentally retarded and they decided she would not be able to take the stand. They had DNA evidence and they had a witness who saw the group of men take her from the back of her house. Now where does that make the mother 'negligent" of anything?

This time, the same thing happened. The girl was taken from in front of he house and the mother went to report her missing at the police station. The police REFUSED to open a case and it was only three days later (after a lot of nagging by the mom and her going around knocking on doors) that they reluctantly opened a case - the 24th March. Said case they did NOTHING on.

It was only when the media got hold of the story that anything was done. The police eventually admitted that they didn't originally want to open a docket due to the fact that she had disappeared before and they admitted that they did nothing to find her because last time she disappeared, she turned up on her own again a few days later.

This mother and her child have been completely let down by social services, police services, the justice system and the community. Her only 'sin' is to be a mentally handicapped girl who (by definition in SA) is thus less value than a used piece of toilet paper.

It makes me more angry than you can ever believe. That is why your condoning of this just makes me see red

Repent se gaaat. The cops should be charged and the boys should get a sentence which will be a DETERRENT to any who have the same 'urges'. We can't keep being 'ag shame' and expect this epidemic to stop. God didn't care when she was being raped and begging for them to stop, so I doubt he gives any more of a sh1t about her or those boys now.

What is done is done and it cannot be undone, whether they were good boys once upon a time, well now those days are over, they raped a mentally disturbed girls and just to see that they were 100% sober and enjoying what they are doing, they even took a video of their sinful action as a remeberence of what they did, SA law should re-structure their laws ans sanctions agains minors coz it make me sick to see this minors killing and robbing and they get away with it coz they are minors....nee fok man..................to me they are guilty until proven innocent.

I say that the margistrate should postpone the case until 2018 when they are all ad.u.lts; and then from there make an example of them that would leave not only the men in this country dumbfounded but even the woment too. He must send them to ja.i.l and throw away the ke.y.s. then we will see which other men will "accidentally ra.p.e any women".It's appaling that there are people on this bl.o.g who are even trying to rec.o.n.cile us with this e.v.il co.n.c.upiscence!!!! Yea. Like the BRILLIANT job they did by making sure 6 year olds are safe when they sentenced the person who raped the to a long 7 years (effectively he will be out when she is 9 so maybe the next time he r@pes her it will be even more acceptable).

Our legal system needs its backside kicked and to stop treating offences against women like minor misdemeanour's.
