OMG

I still say....... castration and or death penalty for rapists

The 17year old f**^&^% should thank his lucky stars that the girl is not my relative. It would have been me in jail and him recovering without a n.zw.ir.i in hospital (if he did not DOA)

eliminate this sorry excuse for a human being from out society. 17 you raping? By the time you 70, you would have brought hell to many lives.

At 17 if you don't have a girl freind, masturbation is sensational.

@MsKinkyayaKamaSutra
Maybe if more parents felt like you and took and interest in their children, we wouldn't have such high r@pe statistics.
R@pe in SA is a favourite pasttime.

How do they know if it is the boy who r'aped her?Why do people always assume the first person to be arrested is guilty without even being tried by a court of law?Ke gore di bloggers have tried and convicted the poor boy in his absentia without even hearing his side of the story.

What kind of school has a 17 year old boy in the same bathroom as a 6 year old little girl?
Honestly, it must be one hell of a choice for these mothers today - an illiterate child or a raped child (or sometimes both)

If the girl told her mother who it was then its pretty darn likely that it was him. Besides, what 'side of the story' could he have? She was wearing a kanga?

MommaC-But there is nowhere on the article where it is mentioned that the girl told her mother it was him and his side of the story would be that he didnt do it.

"She then laid a charge against the boy,"

That pretty much shows that the kid knew who it was.

It is really sad that parents have shifted the role of parenting to teachers, tvs, computers and video games

Now our children are not even safe at school. Sies maan, idiot. This thing of building toilets far away form the classrooms especially in black rural schhols like where I studied is not on. In urban areas toilets are just next door to the classroob and the teacher can see what is happening.

I didn't write the article, I'm just reading what it says and the only assumption possible is that the child knew the identity of the rapist

Of course more details are needed and so to is a decent education for those mothers who have children. The fact that she waited until Monday to take the child to the clinic means that DNA evidence is probably gone and the whole case will be based on the child's testimony. A child gets afraid in a court setting and may well just clam up. That could cause the case to be thrown out and that is very likely to result in the young boy getting himself a good dose of street justice.

maezizsto68: Stop being such a determined jerk. Obviously there is to be a trial, but the reported circumstances seem to make the picture pretty clear. Next you're going to try suggesting that the girl "asked for it"!

She'll probably be in the judge's chambers with only her mom, the judge and the two attorneys as that is normally what they mean by 'in camera' but it is still a daunting thing for such a young one to go through. They may allow for pre-taped testamentary done in a psychologist's office but that would require a request from her mother.

DNA would be gone after the first bath. Even if the mother kept (and didn't wash) her broekies, the chain of evidence is broken and a good lawyer would have it ruled as inadmissible.
