Lovers' quarrel ends in fatal shooting at police station
A police constable this morning shot and killed his girlfriend at the Moot police station in Pretoria before turning the gun on himself
Lt-Col Tshisikhawe Ndou said the 25-year-old constable shot his girlfriend around 7am on Monday after completing his midnight shift.
“Police members tried to convince the constable to calm down, but he refused and took out his firearm. He shot the woman several times before turning the gun on himself.”
The constable died on the scene. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.
“It is believed that the couple had a disagreement before the shooting.”
Police were investigating.
