'She was moving around the pool'

One of two reticulated lavender albino pythons that escaped from their home on Tugela Crescent in Gallo Manor, Sandton, was found on Thursday, according to reports.

Dolce, the female snake, was discovered in the pool pump by their owner, Angi Latimer.

“I had been looking everywhere for her. She was moving around the pool. I am with her now... I am very happy,” Latimer said.

Gabbana, a male, was still missing.

The three-metre-long snakes disappeared on Wednesday after they climbed up the burglar bars in her home and pushed down on a door handle, which opened under the weight,

They make anti venom using snake venom.
Its not just pure venom they use, it is 'milked' from the snake then diluted and injected into a horse. The antibodies are then taken from the horse and used as medicine. Its a bit like a vaccination works.

Tut tut tut.
A bit thin skinned there deary. Clicking your tongue at someone doesn't even come close to abusive. Even teachers are still allowed to do it

@MommaC

There is also issues like young DJ who can't tell the difference between a venomous snake and a non venomous one.
===============================================================================
Neither can I differentiate. LOL

My take was that, there more bright colours they had then they were venomous. Only to find that assumption fall flat on its face. Rattle snakes are brown, and Mamba is black. I just don't know which ones are venomous and which ones are not. Then you have a brown house snake. How can there be a house snake hey?

LOL
They are called a house snake because they often come into the house. They are not toxic - in fact they have their teeth all the way at the back of their mouth and have difficulty biting anything bigger than a mouse.

We used to have a double period on a Wednesday in junior school where we either did first aid, road safety or learned about which snake / spider was dangerous and which wasn't. It is something that has proven invaluable throughout my life and it certainly did more for me than that silly Life Skills nonsense they teach now could.
