CALM has returned to Chamandu High School at Mapuve outside Giyani in Limpopo after a two-day protest by pupils and parents.

They were demanding the removal of the principal, Thomas Manganyi, who is accused of mismanagement among other things.

Manganyi reportedly failed to report for duty this week.

Irate parents' spokesman Eric Makondo said yesterday that the school had posted poor results in all grades over the past four years.

All stakeholders in the community met with officials from department of education yesterday for a meeting about the situation.

Limpopo education department spokesman Pat Kgomo yesterday condemned what he termed the eviction of the school principal.

"Parents must follow procedures to resolve any problem," he said.
