Ex-Bucs star faces charge
FORMER Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates striker Jimmy Khauleza, 34, and his cousin are in trouble after they allegedly assaulted an off-duty policeman in Free State.
It is alleged that the soccer player and his cousin, Keke Khauleza, 31, assaulted Frans Motsauoa, 29, on New Year's Day at Rammulotsi, in Viljoenskroon.
Police spokesman Malesela Langa said the pair hit Motsauoa with a beer bottle in his face.
The men were arguing over a 19-year-old woman. The woman is also Motsauoa's cousin.
"The incident took place after midnight and we have learnt that Khauleza, pictured, and his cousin Keke were earlier in the company of the woman elsewhere," said Langa.
Motsauoa was in the house and he asked the woman not to go out as it was already late.
"An argument ensued among Khauleza, his cousin and Motsauoa. Khauleza claimed that he did not know that Motsauoa and the woman were related.
"They thought the policeman was taking the woman away from them," said Langa.
The two were arrested and released on R500 bail each. They are expected to appear in the Viljoenskroon Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
Khauleza also played for Free State Stars and Jomo Cosmos.

He was protecting the woman from the police.He thought the police was stealing the woman.Well..there are extenuating circumstances here.Obviously they didn't know the man was a police and that he was related to the woman.Report Abuse

I don't think it has anything to do with any of his former teams..it's one of those things that happen when you have women involved.
