This is madness, if you have some one you love and you agree to with all things, sex is so wonderful and full of plesure. now his is going to spend his whole life time to jail for such a simple thing. check the story of the drunk lady and the married man, no rape claim but the two were not suppose to do it. why not take that rute, than to rune his life like that, most of all a neighbour. he will never be truste in that community again. he now has a lot to deal with.

What a double standard se g@t. I went with Lesego,Tshepho to school at TUT, in 1990s. Why don't you allow us to say it was a bold move that she did. You p!p1ol ma!n. Mzansi guys, you have become an abomination to mankind! What you guys do is simply unimaginable. What I think is the biggest problem with SA men is this new trend of behaving as if they are women. Spending hours on the mirror, putting on earrings, going to saloons for trimming etc. They are so obsessed with their physical appearance. I believe that is a sign of insecurity where someone feels that i am not good enough so I gotta put more effort to be acceptable. The guys that I meet have no respect for women, they believe that all women are cheats hence they need to constant control and monitoring. Men must get back to being men. Concentrate on important things. Be the man in the home, protect your family, provide for them, show love and respect to your wiffe and kids. If you find yourself affording a R1000 cologne but not managing to send your baby mama R200 for your kid's school fees, then you must know that you are not worth to be called a man. This guy must simply be castrated. Jails in SA are too comfortable for animals like those. Send them to Zimbabwe where they will be made to work in fields 24/7.

Sweetnez

You have obviously never been the victim of violent abuse.
Some women do fight but many are like the 'rabbit in the headlights'. The fear and shock make shut them down completely until its too late to fight. No woman (or man) can accurately predict what their reaction will be until they are actually in that situation

Often neighbours will believe that it is a domestic argument. They see so much violence that they just ignore it. That is the price we pay for allowing physical violence by men to become socially acceptable.

... on a side note, a comment like that from a sister is sad. Until sisters stand together instead of taking such joy in a fellow woman's misery, we will never stop these horrors.

The fact that you reported the matter to the police, makes you a strong woman. Many women out there are going through the same situation, but most of them feels like it is wrong to talk about what happened.
They decided to leave the matter in the past to avoid being judged or blamed of what happened. Some think of their reputation, they hide the truth and pretend that everything is okay. Don't allow what happened to you affect your present and to rob you of a future. You are important, valuable and please go for counselling, when you speak out, you unload your burden, you confront your fears and you start living again.
