A woman was raped — allegedly by her brother — in Reiger Park,  Ekurhuleni, police said on Wednesday.

Sergeant Mashudu Phathela said the 19-year-old woman was raped on Tuesday afternoon.

“She was boiling water to take a bath when her older brother attacked her.”   

Phathela said the man first asked the woman to take her clothes off. When she refused, he throttled her and started to rape her.

Police were still searching for the man who fled after the incident.
