A man who allegedly killed his friend by driving over him has been arrested in Sharpeville, Gauteng police said
Warrant Officer Aubrey Moopeloa said the 26-year-old man apparently drove over his friend after a drinking spree on Saturday.
“It appeared that they got into a fight with other people where they were drinking and the two were trying to get away.”
He said the man apparently reversed and did not see his 35-year-old friend behind the car.
Moopeloa said an ambulance was called to the scene but the friend died on his way to hospital.
The driver was charged with driving without a driver’s license, failure to report an accident, and culpable homicide.

So let us understand this correctly, people go drinking while driving, an unlicensed drunk driver reverses over his friend and kills him. And after all this he is charged with Culpable homicide whilst another driver is charged with murder for killing people while drunk driving...? Do our police and prosecutors ever communicate with one another as both these incidents happened in the same province.Report Abuse
