A woman has been arrested for murdering her five children in Lower Majeakgoro Village in Pampierstad, Northern Cape police said on Wednesday.
“A family member went to the house on Monday and found the bodies of the five children,” said Captain Cherelle Ehlers.
The woman was arrested on Tuesday, she said.
The children were aged 13, 10, five, four and two.
“An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.”
Police are investigating.
