Sushi King Kenny Kunene tops the list of well-known personalities nominated by the gay and lesbian community for their Feathers Awards 2011.

The nominees were announced last night at a party held at Skyline Gardens in Braamfontein.

The controversial drama queen award is given to someone whom people read about every Sunday or whose lives revolve around a lot of dramatic behaviour.

In the cute couple category, Kunene and McKenzie are up against DJ Cleo and Bricks as well as Black Coffee and Mbali Mlotshwa.

The Feathers Awards are hosted by the pink community yearly to embrace individuals in the public eye who inspire, scandalise, amuse and thrill.

Dineo Ranaka and Bonang Matheba and Noni Gasa will compete for the Best Styled female award. Best styled male will be contested by Siphiwe Mpye, Zakes Bantwini and Siyabonga Ngwekazi. DJ Cleo, Lulo Cafe and Aubrey Pooe will vie for hunk of the year.
