GIFT FROM GOD: The 33-year-old unemployed Livhuwani Phumgo and her triplets

"Please help feed, clothe my triplets

A 33-YEAR OLD unemployed woman who gave birth to triplets on Monday last week is appealing for help to support them.

Livhuwani Phumgo from Tshavhalovhedzi in Nzhelele, Venda, says it will be difficult for the family to support the three new mouths.

She says although her husband is employed as a security guard, they will still struggle to feed and maintain the children.

The two girls Muneiwa and Vhukhudo and their brother Uhone are a miracle from God, Phumgo says.

"I love this wonderful gift from God, but our biggest problem is that we will struggle to raise them.

"It is already becoming difficult for me to buy milk and nappies for my babies," she says.

The Phumgos now have five children. They also have twins who were born in 2002.

Maggie Mathladie, the ward 33 councillor in the Makhado municipality, has promised to help the family.

"Members of the community must also help her support the children so that they grow up as responsible citizens," she said.

"I am assisting her to register for child grants. We have also approached the Department of Social Development, which has already assisted with some clothes," she said.

She also urged people to help the family in any way they can.

Anyone who wants to assist can contact the family on 073-2068-212.
