Former president Nelson Mandela would remain indefinitely at his house in Qunu in Eastern Cape, the Sunday Times reported.
"As long as he is in a healthy state while there, we are happy. He will give us a cue when he wants to come back to Johannesburg," his granddaughter Ndileka told the newspaper.
Mandela arrived in Qunu a few days before his 93rd birthday on Monday. His medical team, which was assigned to him after he was admitted to hospital in January, accompanied him on the trip.
"He enjoys seeing cattle in the village and the kraal not far from his house. This gives him peace and comfort," said Ndileka.

If there is an emergencey, we can always airlift you from there. ...or better still...this government of ours must improve the Hospitals in that province so you can be treated there like the other citizens of the country!Report Abuse
