THE IFP has suffered yet another blow following the resignation of its provincial secretary and leader of the official opposition in the provincial legislature, Bonginkosi Buthelezi.

"Yes, it's true and correct that I have resigned ... but I remain a committed IFP member. The reason for my resignation is to pursue my career as I am a doctor by profession and I want to focus on my studies."

This is the second senior IFP leader to resign in three weeks. Former deputy national spokesperson Thulasizwe Buthelezi has also resigned.
