'Cde Madisha grabbed my private parts'

THE leader of Cope Women's Movement has accused a fellow Cope MP of grabbing her private parts.

Madisha indecently and intentionally touched my private parts in a manner that violated my private person and dignity - Didiza-Ndlela

Cope Women's Movement secretary Nozipho Didiza-Ndlela sent an e-mail yesterday to party president Mosioua Lekota, deputy president Mbhazima Shilowa and general secretary Charlotte Lobe lodging a complaint of sexual harassment against former Cosatu president Willie Madisha

"On Saturday September 4 2010 during the short adjournment of the congress national committee meeting in Braamfontein, Cde Madisha indecently and intentionally touched my private parts in a manner that violated my private person and dignity," Didiza-Ndlela wrote.

"I reacted with rage and scolded him. He said he was just playing and offered an apology."

Didiza-Ndlela confirmed to Sowetan that she was the author of the e-mail.

"I am trying to deal with it internally before laying charges at the police station."

Cope spokesperson Phillip Dexter said he was aware of the incident.

"Lekota has not received the e-mail yet. When he does, the matter will be taken to the next congress working committee meeting," Dexter said.

Madisha did not respond to questions from Sowetan.
