Three teenagers were seriously injured when their minibus taxi hit another vehicle and overturned in Tembisa on Tuesday morning, Ekurhuleni police said.

"The driver of a Toyota Venture carrying eight schoolchildren said his brakes failed causing him to collide with a Toyota Tazz," said Inspector Mveli Nhlapo.

The accident took place in Setloane section at 6.40am.

The three occupants of the Toyota Tazz were slightly injured and  were treated on the scene.

The three teenagers, aged 14, 15 and 17, were taken to Tembisa Hospital. They are pupils at Rhodesfield High School in Kempton Park.

The 22-year-old driver of the Venture was taken to hospital for treatment.

Nhlapo said police would register a case of reckless and negligent driving. No-one had been arrested.

We can't all have same position one must be so called "mageza" for the sake of economy, if we are gonna undermine people due to their work that is not ayoba at all, some they occupied those position because of their circumstances and let us respect that long as is not thief or being harm to the community.In this case what happened is an accident let it treated like that.

@FiGal

off course its was an accident,
AN ACCIDENT THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF THAT VENTURE WAS ROADWORTHY.

if your breaks fail, its not an overnight thing that there is a problem, simply means the symptoms where there all along, but he had to save money fix it himself, or ignore it with the hope that they (breaks) will fix themselves.

its like running out of gas with a car that has a working petrol reader, thats plain ignorance or plain stiggyness,

think aaahhh, I CAN STILL MAKE ANOTHER 10KM WITH THIS HALF A LITRE, INTEAD OF GOING STRAINT TO BP OR TOTAL
