Neighbours' fight over wife case thrown out
THE Marapyane periodical court has dismissed a case involving two local businessmen who had laid complaints against each other following a fight over a woman.

David Snepi Mohlamonyane, 50, of Lefiswane village near Marapyane, was arrested after another businessman, Bonnet Muzi Maphoto, laid assault charges against him.
This after Mohlamonyane discovered that Maphoto - who he alleged had bonked his wife - had visited her at their supermarket in Lefiswane last week.
Sergeant Valley Semenya of Mmametlhake police said Mohlamonyane beat up Maphoto when he heard the man had visited his wife.
"Maphoto had apparently been ordered by his village headman never to visit Mohlamonyane's wife again. Mohlamonyane had allegedly taken Maphoto to the tribal court accusing him of having a sexual relationship with his wife," Semenya said.
He said Mohlamonyane, who is also a teacher at the local high school, had knocked off early from work due to the ongoing public servants strike.
"So when he arrived at his shop earlier than expected he was told by his children that Maphoto had just left.
"This angered Mohlamonyane, who went to Maphoto's supermarket. When he found him there, he beat the hell out of him," Semenya said.
Maphoto laid a charge of assault after the beating.
Semenya said Mohlamonyane laid a counter-charge of trespassing against Maphoto.
Mohlamonyane accused Maphoto of violating an order from local induna, Mmalekuti Chaane, that he distance himself from Mohlamonyane's wife.
But Maphoto told police that it was Mohlamonyane's wife who had called him for "service" and that he would never turn down such an offer from a beautiful woman.
The court struck the matter off the roll and advised the two to settle the matter since they were neighbours.
They were also advised to return to Induna Chaane if they could not resolve the matter.
