FORMER president Nelson Mandela's first cousin Mphathi Mandela died after a "long illness" yesterday.
Mphathi, who used to be employed as a pet controller in East London, was 85-years-old, said a family member, Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandla Mandela.
"The funeral arrangements are being currently discussed by the family," he said.
The death came just two months after Mandela's great granddaughter Zenani Mandela was killed in a car crash after the World Cup opening concert in Soweto on June 11.
Mphathi is survived by his son Sizwe and grandson Vuyisa.

I'm not being insensetive or something like that and I know how hard it is to loose some loved ones in the family but kindly leave the old man(TATA) alone. Does it mean every Mandela who dies will be published just to sell the papers? Mphathi was 85yrs and we do not even know the man. Please...Report Abuse
