@imd Bernard was given R100 on the day of referral so he is no longer in the picture. There are many attorneys who are stealing from their clients and it seems its not easy getting them to pay up. I bet you the bill is going to be over R300 000 and she is not going to get anything. Shame sisi try your best involve the law society as well, good luck! Nawe pay your tithes kule R300 you make a day and the Lord will rebuke the devourer for your sake.

lawers are thieves by nature so it comes as no surprise when you hear how much they have defrauded the RAF of billions in the last decade or so.

I thnk it is unfair to say that lawyers are thieves and are always stealing from their clients. my mother is a lawyer. she says clients are always quick to blame lawyers. first also get the full comments from the other party (lawyer) before judging.

The problem is that if the attorneys give her all the money and she squanders it then she can sue the attorneys for bad advice and claim compensation from them. She can claim that she was uneducated and was incapable of handling a lump sum. The attorneys best recourse is to create a trust with her as the beneficiary. I am not joking - this is what the General Code of Conduct of the FAIS Act amounts to.

Lawyers today, big crooks. I think RAF must start paying people directly. Thanx Sowetan for da name and shame.

LEB

Most lawyers and attorneys are stealing from the hands that feeds them.Soon the river would be dry as RAF would deal directly with the claimants.

And the law society should intervene and set the KPI for them. And monitor how reasonable is the time difference between RAFsettlement and actual payment to the claimants. And it should be compulsary to formaly update the client about the developments and reciepts of payment within 7 days.
