RUSSIA is the biggest country in the world. Even after the collapse of the giant Soviet Union it is bigger than any other country.
It has an area of more than 17-million km² and a population of 142-million people.
Russia shares borders with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and North Korea. It also has maritime borders with Japan and US (Alaska).
