Our public hospital have never been improved, health facility wise ever since the apartheid, even during the old regime public hospitals which were meant for blacks were not up to starndard. but why people complain nowReport Abuse

@Magaula,be that as it may,you have to concede, though that the problem extends far beyond the state of the facilities,it is also about the poor service that one gets at these public facilities, while the African National Crisis officials enjoy private health care,at the expense of tax payers.Report Abuse

Just like we always got in the old day, this is not someting new, or it detoriated, Things never changed. Even the NATIONAL PARTY, enjoyed private care facility. at the expense of the then tax payers money, worse part they(blakcs) were treated as slaves.

Public Hospitals sicken me... we don't get proper jobs and the worse part is that the staff make jokes about one not having any medical aid...i once swore @ them trying to sell crutches 2 a guy who had a sprained ankle and couldn't work claiming that it's a policy...F that policy man...Report Abuse

A hositpal used to be a santuary but now it more like a war zone. I guess if one wants to kick the bucket they will have to admit themselves at a public hospital.Report Abuse

Not all of them ........... Baragwanath (now Chris Hani) was an exception. White intern Drs alwys wanted to do their locums there. It was not only the biggest Hosiptal in the southern hemisphere but had the best facilities. Mpho and Mphonyana (Siamese twins) were separated at Bara. A lot of ground breaking surgeries were done at Bara. Thing took a nose dive after the name change (regime change)

You can single one hospital, The reason the old regime took notice of that hospital was due to the fact that it made history(mpho and mponyana) twins, so the world was intrested and took notice, so whites wanted the fame from the rest of the world to act as if they cared wheras they never gave a bull.. You can change the frame, but the picture remains.
