Psl star makes major move into pop fashion

ORLANDO Pirates ace Lehlohonolo Majoro is hoping his scoring streak continues off field.

Major - as he is affectionately known - is taking on the fashion world through his designer line, Ballo-Joro.

The 28-year-old has been teasing fashionistas for the past few weeks by posting pictures of a variety of bright-coloured T-shirts and caps on his Instagram account.

The pictures sparked a frenzy and query about their availability.

He captioned one of the photos: "ballo-joro [is] under construction".

"I know a lot of u have been asking on how to get hold of the product, we have been busy together with my team coming up with an easy hustle free strategy that will help u to be able to place an order...

"That will soon be made known to u all, thank u for showing interest in my product, I'm nothing without ur support... God bless u all as we take the brand to another level," he shared on the social media platform.

On one of the pictures, male and female models don V-neck red tops with the Ballo-Joro label. The male top has an image of an eagle flying across from the left to the right.

The caps, mainly snapback hats and baseball caps, range from plain to colourful floral designs.

The fiery, lethal striker appears to have been inspired by Italian and Liverpool striker Mario Ballotelli when considering the name of the line.

The Italian bad boy goes by the nicknames of Super Mario and Ballo.

Ballotelli wears jersey number 45, which is inscribed on the back of one of Ballo-Joro's T-shirts.

Former teammate Itumeleng Khune has also posted pictures of himself wearing a Ballo-Joro cap.

Majoro told Sowetan he was still finalising a few details before he could launch the line, and declined to comment further.
