Guys get your team ready for Brovember Action Football tournament

Sorbet Man will be hosting the first annual Balls for Brovember Action Football Tournament on Saturday 29 November 2014 at Discovery Soccer Park in Johannesburg.

Sorbet Man is appealing to all Gauteng lads, dads, footie enthusiasts, corporates and celebrities to muster a team of 8 male football players for a fun day out on the field, in support of testicular cancer awareness.

Teams are required to secure their entry with a once off entry fee of R 1 500.00 per team, a portion of which will be donated to the ‘More Balls Than Most’ testicular cancer charity foundation (MBTM) - www.mbtm.co.za

“I know the importance of early detection,” says Mark Pilgrim, cancer survivor and Ambassador of More Balls than Most Cancer Foundation (MBTM).

“One sometimes only realises the importance after you have been touched. Men tend to be proud and sometimes ignorant, but the fact is, ignorance can cost you your life,” says Pilgrim.

“Initiatives like “Balls for Brovember” help create awareness and much needed funds to causes like MBTM, to drive the message that early detection saves lives.”

Pilgrim is not the only celebrity supporter of the Balls for Brovember initiative: Siv Ngesi, Tumisho Masha, Mark Fish and Gordon Gilbert are just a few of the big names that will be kicking it for Cancer with Sorbet Man in November.

“We are encouraging players to bring along their friends and family for spectator support,” says Jade Kirkel, Marketing Manager of Sorbet Group, “there’ll be loads of giveaways, food & refreshment stalls and the best part of all is that one lucky player from the winning team will win a return trip for two to New York City.”

Balls for Brovember football team entries are now open. A maximum number of 32 teams will qualify for the day and entries are limited to a first come first served basis. To enter your team, visit the Sorbet Man tab at www.sorbet.co.za or email events@sorbet.co.za
