Disastrous awards and nobodies

GHETTO FABULOUS: Lerato Sengadi can wear anything, Madi still loves her
GHETTO FABULOUS: Lerato Sengadi can wear anything, Madi still loves her

MADITABA was her usual busy self this week, all in an effort to bring you a freshly squeezed glass of juice.

Madi first started off by going to the Nedbank Ke Yona 2014 team reveal, where she was surrounded by nobodies who looked like Nedbank call centre agents.

I've said this before, Madi doesn't want to worry about her Gucci bag when she's at an event, please.

Anyway, Madi mingled a bit and bumped into Sophie Ndaba, who was so cheerful for someone whose job is on the line. But I guess Sophie has her wedding planner business to fall back on, or has she been shut down for business after organising Winnie Ntshaba's wedding that ended in divorce?

Madi was so disappointed to see Sophie styled the very same way she always is - a black dress squeezing her boobs together, a messy weave, and the same old red lipstick.

Madi also bumped into Bridget Masinga, who was not wearing her wedding ring, and became all defensive when asked how married life is going and where her ring was. "I wore it the other day ..." she said.

Aaron Moloisi was also there, looking dashing as usual.

Madi saw the super couple Lalla Hirayama and Chris Nkosi all lovey-dovey. These two have shocked all of us by lasting so long. Lalla's ninja inspired outfit was horrendous though.

Madi also went off to Kong in Rosebank, where AKA was having a party after the listening session of his latest album. He's got the arrogance of someone who uses US dollars for toilet paper, but he blew Madi away with his performance.

Rural girlfriend Zinhle was so supportive, singing along to every song and dancing up a storm.

Madi just wished she would have made an effort with her outfit though. She looked like she was dashing off to Bramfischer for a funeral.

Lerato Sengadi came wearing some green tent and looked like Kermit the frog, but Madi loves her regardless. So ghetto fabulous.

Hip-hop DJ Noni Rwaxa, known as Ms Cosmo, wore pants so tight they had all her ... ahem ... female bits exposed in a nice V shape.

Madi also dashed off to the Sylbna Lifestyle and Fashion Awards at Gold Reef City. Remember how Madi was disgusted with the nominees announcement party with Flying Fish and Romans Pizza being served?

Well, I don't know what spirit of a retarded ghost possessed Madi to go to the main awards event, because to say it was a disaster would be too kind.

Madi bumped into has-been Sliq Angel, who has ballooned and looked like he was in desperate need of a bath.

Socialite Yaya Mavundla blew Madi away in a stunning Quieteria and George number. Absolute perfection. Yaya's face was a bit praying mantis sipping on a cocktail, but Madi loved her dress.

Iko Mash looked stunning in hot pants - a bit inappropriate for a 75-year-old, but she pulled it off.
