Africa’s top celebrities such as Bonang Matheba and Ghanaian singer Mildred Eazzy Ashong will be competing for the best hair-styled celebrity title at this year’s Africa International Hair Extravaganza.

Other big names to form part of the celebrity category in the African Hair Awards evening, includes Zambian beauty Petita Mwanza, reality star Dineo Renaka, The Link presenter Lerato Kganyago, Pearl Modiadie, actress Minnie Dlamini and Nigerian actress and singer Omawumi Megbele.

Organisers are inviting hair dressers around the country to enter the “Battle of the Hair Stylist” competition at www.aihe.co.za.

The winners of the battle of the stylist competition will have the opportunity to compete for R50 000 prize money and show off their skills and talents at the main expo in September under the mentorship of two top South African hair stylists Nthato Mashishi and Thomas Tsheola.

“The AIHE is the beginning of a new era in the rise and positioning of the African Ethnic Hair Industry as a sound contributor to Africa’s economy and an industry that plays a key role in displaying the beauty of African woman,” said Fatima Cele, founder of AIHE.

The 3 day hair expo will take place at Vodaworld in Midrand from the 12th of September.

leave women alone, u controlling freaks!! we love spending money on hair as much as you spend yours on expensive and fast cars! and besides fake hair will not make anyone beautiful, with or without fake hair you will still look unattractive if u are born that way, period! concentrate on the face and not the hair to see if a woman is beautiful or not!!
