Women choose moisturiser over sex

A survery carried out by Sanctuary Spa on 1,000 women in November 2013 has revealed some curious data about women's relationship with their skin.

A new survey of British women by beauty brand Sanctuary has found that a majority would rather give up their sex lives than part ways with their moisturizer.

A survery carried out by Sanctuary Spa on 1,000 women in November 2013 has revealed some curious data about women's relationship with their skin.

In a perhaps rather unrealistic 'either-or' scenario which pitted cosmetics against sex and television, over half of the women surveyed (55%) would pick their skin moisturizer over their sex life. Less surprisingly, almost all of them (94%) would choose their skincare over catching up on the latest episode of "Downton Abbey."

"It's fantastic to see that British women are placing such importance on their skincare regime!" commented Nicola Joss, Sanctuary Spa's skincare expert.

According to the Sanctuary Spa data, skin is apparently the second thing women notice about each other after clothing, and 91% of the women surveyed picked it as the top 'age giveaway'.

Over a quarter of the women in the study also admitted to longing for more youthful looking skin (26%), which came out ahead of a wish for longer legs (14%) and fuller, thicker hair (11%).
