Why do men and women go to the shops in their pyjamas?

Yes, she's the one wearing her pink satin pyjamas with red hearts and her pale pink gown with the words "good night" across her chest that keeps her warm. Rose pink bunny slippers sweep and mop the shop floors as she sashays around the aisles looking for milk, eggs, bread and a chocolate bar, which she devours as she goes around looking for tomatoes.

And it is not a "black or white thing"; it is a peculiarity that knows no colour. It is not a "rich or poor thing" either; both socioeconomic groups do it with such panache.

And it is not a "gender thing", men and women alike are fond of it, even children are encouraged to do it.
