Miss Mpumalanga, Lungile Libambo, shares with us where to hang out when travelling to Middelburg

THE recently-crowned Miss Mpumalanga, Lungile Libambo, dreams of a province that has amenities that will make life easy for the people of the province.

Born in Middelburg, a large farming and industrial town, Libambo, 23, sees a bright future not only for her province, but also for her town, Middelburg.

What do you like about Middelburg?

It is a clean, beautiful town and it is developing daily. It has positive leaders who are there for the people who voted for them.

Which are your favourite restaurants there and why?

Dros does it for me. The place is quiet and beautiful and they serve the best steaks.

Your favourite nightspot in Middelburg?

I love Catch Up Zone in Mhluzi. It is beautiful and they sell delicious township food. It is a great spot for mingling, is safe and secured.

Favourite hotel or B&B in Middelburg?

Diamond Rose. It is quiet and relaxing. Their hospitality makes you feel at home.

What makes Middelburg great?

People of this town are one. They work together in everything they fight for. In Middelburg , the dictum, an injury to one, is an injury to all, is real.

What's your favourite tshisanyama in Middelburg?

Bambolunye is the best-ever tshisanyama. They sell the freshest and tastiest meat.

Where would you take a tourist for entertainment in Middelburg?

Something out of Nothing and Midway. They specialise in Ndebele looks. It is a place where our tradition meets cosmopolitan beauty. This is expressed from food to clothing to a way of life.

What's your favourite place to go to for a quiet meal with your family?

My family loves Spur meals. It is a safe place for kids. They can play while older people catch up. Their ribs are a winner.

How do you see the town's future?

I see it as a city that won't sleep in years to come. I see a university, modelling agencies, sports facilities, etc
