Lungile sets her sights on Miss SA
AFTER winning the Miss Mpumalanga pageant at the weekend, vivacious Lungile Libambo has now set her sights on the Miss South Africa title.
Libambo was crowned Miss Mpumalanga in Nelspruit on Friday after shrugging off competition from 13 contestants.
The 24-year-old beauty says while she knows the task ahead will not be easy, she is ready for the challenges.
"My dream is to participate in the Miss South Africa contest and my crowning has opened doors for me to achieve this."
Libambo currently works as an administration clerk at a construction company in eMalahleni.
She walked away with a brand-new VW Polo, iPad, a set of AMC pots, a watch, and a weekend stay at the Emnotweni Sun where she had already spent the weekend.
She also won a week-long stay in the Kruger National Park and several other prizes fit for a queen.
Libambo, who hails from Mhluzi in Middelburg, was crowned Miss Sundowns Mpumalanga in 2010.
First princess was Lethu Soko of Kanyamzane, while the second princess was Annellisa Mabuza of Barberton.
The pageant was backed by the provincial government, Mpumalanga Gambling Board, Ayesha Boutique, La Flow Boutique and Perfect 10, among others.
