VUWA Lodge must be one of the grandest places in Polokwane's Flora Park.

In fact, the owner, Thomas Ramulifho, says conferencing is their core business.
"Our conferencing facilities are of world standards, that is why our clients keep coming back. We are also 8km from the airport, 10km to Meropa Casino and Entertainment and the Polokwane Game Reserve. That is part of the secret of our success."
Established in 2008 the place has two conference halls that seat 60 and 80 delegates, with a standby generator for a continuous electricity supply.
Other amenities include air conditioning, bathrooms en suite, disabled facilities, laundry services, satellite TV, tea and coffee in rooms, phones in rooms and Internet access.
The former lecturer says he decided to start the business after the college he worked for closed down.
"It was a huge step on my part. I converted my house into a seven-bedroomed establishment. Today we have 18 rooms. Part of our success is the fact that we offer that unique African hospitality.
"We offer visitors both Venda and Tsonga hospitality, since these are the dominant cultures in the area," Ramulifho says.
