What do you like about North West?

The people, the culture and the language. It is home, always will be and that's where my heart is.

Which are your favourite restaurants in North West and why?

I'm very fond of any restaurant that sells authentic traditional food. There are plenty of restaurants like that in Rustenburg.

I don't have one particular restaurant that stands out for me.

Your favourite nightspot in North West and why?

I once hosted an event at Silhouette, situated in the entertainment centre at Sun City. The service was great, the atmosphere incredible and ,above all, we "walked" back to our hotel rooms.

Where do you shop when you are there and why?

Well, in Mafikeng, for a very long time Mega City used to be the only place to shop. But new shopping centres have popped up in and around Mmabatho.

Favourite hotel or B&B in North West and why?

The Palms Bed and Breakfast in Mafikeng is beautiful. One of the best B&Bs I've ever been to.

What makes North West great?

The platinum, the weather, we have the BEST resort in the world, Sun City, and the fact that it's home to so many talented people in the entertainment industry. It is the breeding ground of all things GREAT!!

Where do you chill with your friends when in North West?

I'm usually home, but Mafikeng hosts amazing events such as the Sixties and so on. The entire town erupts when it's party season.

What's your favourite shisa nyama in North West?

Trendsetter's in Unit 2 is not so much a shisa nyama as it is a "chill spot". I haven't been there in a while, but that's where I'd hang out with my friends.

Where would you go for entertainment as a tourist in North West?

Sun City, and to relax, the Pilanesberg National Park.

What are the essential places to go to if you only have a weekend to visit here?

Sun City, Pilanesberg National Park and Hartebeespoort Dam.

What's your favourite place to go to for a quiet meal with your family?

The Ivory Tree Lodge has a wonderful restaurant, situated in the middle of the bush veld. It's incredible.
