Sexy, comfy underwear
UNDERWEAR is the most neglected part of our wardrobe and yet what is under an outfit matters just as much as the style and shape of the outfit itself
Before buying underwear, determine what bra size or panty you should be wearing. To look good in your undies, Sowetan found the following tips for you:
Find your band size
There are two ways to determine the proper band size for your bra. The band size is the number that is contained in the bra size, such as 32, 34, 36, etc.
There are two methods that can be used to get this measurement The first is by measuring the chest size, above the top of the breasts. Round off that measurement to the nearest whole number, then up to the next even number if the result is odd.
This figure is your band size.
Alternately, you can take the measurement around the chest, below the breasts. Add "4" to this number. If the result is even add "5" to the result if it is odd.
Find your cup size
To measure your cup size you must take the measurement around the bust at the fullest point of the breasts. For most women, this is in line with the nipple area, but might vary with different body types. Subtract the measurement of your band size from your breast measurement. The difference between these two measurements will determine your cup size.
Now you can shop for the perfect bra. Try on various types to find the most comfortable and flattering fit.
The right panty
As with bras, panties should be properly fitted in order to have the most comfortable feel and attractive look.
Legs and thighs:
If you don't have long legs and you are more on the petite side, you could choose high-cut leg designs that will make your legs look slimmer.
Wearing a sexy little thong will also do the trick. And not only will it make your legs look longer, it will create an illusion of slimmer legs. If you hate bigger thighs or roundness around that bottom area, you need to stay away from panty styles that will hug your lower area tightly. This will only accentuate your round shape.
If you have a bit of tummy fat, go for deeper colours when picking undergarments. Choose fabrics that are opaque rather than sheer. Wearing different styles of corsets and slips will hide your tummy fat.
Hips and waist
Even if you do or don't have an hourglass shape, wearing corsets and such will help create the illusion of that shape.
