Nhlanhla in cruising mode

"I'm here with a bang," is the powerful statement Nhlanhla Nciza hopes she is making with her latest car

HER choice of the l Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible sets songbird Nhlanhla Nciza apart as a discerning driver.

Currently cruising around in the metallic burgundy wheels, the songstress says she is over the moon about her choice of wheels.

"I chose my PT Cruiser because it is unique. While many people discouraged me because they thought it's ugly, I feel very special.

"I know many people would not buy this car, that is why I bought it. As far as cars go, I love wheels that stand out. I feel good when my presence is felt wherever I go.

"I'm here with a bang," is the powerful statement Nciza hopes she is making with her latest car.

The singer says what attracted her to the latest model was its classic elegance, which made it look like its 1950s predecessor.

"That is really what attracted me," she says

"I also like the fact that it's very roomy, both in front and at the back. I am not a Michael Schumacher, so I enjoy cruising along," she says, adding that the chrome rims, grill, airbags, steering and grey interior complemented the car's metallic burgundy colour.

Nciza says a combination of the PT Cruiser's safety features and modern gadgets was the deal clincher.

The Mafikizolo star, who recently tried her hand at a solo career, says she is not brand loyal.

She claims her choices are influenced by what catches her eye when she is about to buy a car.

"I enjoy experimenting with colours," says the woman who has driven yellow, black and navy blue jalopies.

"I get compliments every time I drive around in my car and this reinforces the notion that I made the right choice. My car is a limited edition model.

"It's a bit pricey but worth every cent. It's one of those cars you want for keeps," she says.
